"NEW INTERIM MINISTER: First Christian Church welcomes Pastor Tom Madden with excitement and joy. Tom Madden specializes in interim ministry. He is just finishing a position at Boardman. He and his wife, Rise, live in Akron with their youngest son. They have a daughter in Cleveland and a son in Florida as well. The elders have described him as "full of the spirit, exciting, full of energy and such a good fit for us." He has been a camp counselor as well as an assistant director, served a variety of different congregations, and served on the regional staff of the Christian Church in Ohio.
Some of Pastor Tom's words are: "Gifts are discovered and passionately lived, I have a gift of preaching that over time has been innovative; I have the gift of administration which is a way of saying "organizing, putting together and making happen events. I have the gift of counseling having received training through the rehabilitation counseling department at Kent State University. Most of all I have the gift of caring deeply for the people I serve."
