FCC Website - Kit Marty

Our church's website, www.fccmdeina.org, with its theme of Rooted in Heritage, Growing in Faith and Branching into Ministry continues to fulfill its mission of keeping our members informed about what is going on in the life of the church as well as serving those who are looking for a welcoming place to worship Jesus Christ. Our site is a large one, having grown to 80 pages.

In the latter half of 2007, our weekly sermons were unavailable on the website; however, a new volunteer has been secured so that anyone with a PC can once again listen to the current and previous two month's sermons from the comfort of their home.  We have numerous pages where we have pictures of many of our activities and events, our youth, our church picnic, our mission trips, and our VBS (these vary by month).

Statistically, there are about 3,500 “hits” with an average of over 8,300 “total hits” of www.fccmedina.org every month.  The "Top15" pages visited were:  Home Page, Table of Contents, Program Council’s News, Other Current News, Church Calendar, About FCC, Staff Page, Feedback Page, Youth Page, Sunday Worship, FCC’s Website Privacy Statement, Map & Directions, Branching into Ministries Homepage, and Downloadable Forms.  Most people trying to find out about “FCC Medina” do so by using Google and the most common web browser used to view our site is Internet Explorer 6.0.

I’m looking to brainstorm with some people in 2008 to look at the make-up and flow of the site with an eye to improving it, especially in making it easier to navigate around the site.
