Members at Large Position

What is the Member at Large position on the Board?  What is there Purpose?   Who are the Members at Large?

The whole Board is the Congregational Voice.  The Board is elected by the Congregation.   They serve on their behalf.  The Members at Large make sure that the Congregation has enough representation to the Board.   We have 3 members in the position of Members at Large.

The purpose of this position is to represent the Congregation to the Board.  So,  if any member of our Congregation has Questions, Suggestions, Comments, or a Problem that they want the Board to know about, then they can contact any one of the three (3) Members at Large representatives.  The Members at Large would then make a report to the Board at the next regular scheduled meeting.  The results would be reported back to the person making the request.

The three Members at Large for the year 2008 are as follows. David Jordan, Harold Kaufman and Polly Robinson.   Please feel free to contact any of the above with you request or concerns.  Thank You.

Administrative Board Meets Bi-Monthly

The Administrative Board is the body which conducts all official business in the name of the church.  It approves the annual budget, sees that the bills of the church are paid, and approves hiring of personnel.  Members of the Board are elected by the congregation and a quorum of 50% is required for official action.  There are 17 voting members of the Administrative Board.
