Spiritual Life:
Toni Hollopeter (635-3423 -
ehollopeter@neo.rr.com)
- "Does your life in Christ give you strength? Does His love
comfort you? Do we share together in the Spirit? Do you have
mercy and kindness? If so, make me very happy by having the same
thoughts, sharing the same love, and having one mind and purpose"
(Phil
2:1-2). The heart of our congregation is our relationship with
Christ. As we grow in His Spirit, we are transformed into His body,
the people that He intended for us to be.
Ministry Opportunities
Encouragement
Holistic Learning Groups - Contact: Bobbi Way (725-5190 -
BobbiWay@ZoomInternet.net)
These small groups provide an atmosphere of encouragement and
support for individuals who are experiencing dissatisfaction in some area of
their life.
Lay Caring (Homebound / Hospital Visitor) - Contact: Naomi Grega
(242-3438 – grega93@lcnoh.com)
Our congregation is embracing the call to minister to those
presently homebound or hospitalized. We are seeking individuals who will undergo
training, then join the team contacting shut-in’s and those hospitalized through
phone calls, visits, cards.
Stephen Ministries - Contact: Ron Foster (723-9923 -
RoninClev@aol.com)
The Stephen Ministry Program serves members of this congregation
and the larger community with a caring “one to one” ministry. 50 hours of
training and a 2 year commitment are required. Stephen Ministers generally meet
with their care receivers on a weekly basis, and support and training meetings
are held every other week. Please consider becoming a part of this satisfying
and worthwhile ministry.
Intercession
We have people who have requested prayer and we like to respond
to them to let them know they are indeed being held up in prayer. This ministry
sends a note to let folks know they are being prayed for by our prayer teams.
Prayer Vigil - Vernon and Polly Robinson (725-7326 –
pollyrob@zoominternet.net)
Because we recognize the Power of Prayer, we find it necessary to
periodically come to God in a concentrated effort and bring our concerns before
Him. If you would like to help to organize a 24 hour prayer vigil for specific
needs of the congregation or our larger community, or have a cause that you
would like to have lifted up for a prayer vigil, please call.
Sometimes, it's easiest to find God when we step away from our
daily life and retreat to him in prayer. Work on a team to plan retreats that
meet the congregation’s needs and interests.
